Right wing americans love beating the war drum, so long as they can sit safe in their suburbs eating pizza and farting in time to O'Reilly saying "BULL!".
Just so long as it's someone elses kid getting blown to bits...

THE support is like a cheerleader supports the team but is not allowed on the field until the teams have left and the game is at half time .
STILL i do not see these people leaving the united states .90% of them do not have a passport or the ability to do anything .
THE bumper stickers are just a symbol of stupidity as far as i am concerned .
IF you see one on a car that says bush chenny 2000 then you can tell they have not made enough money to purchase a new vehicle since clinton left office .

Try driving around an army or air force base and see if you get the same result. Also, many of the stickers you see are probably from people with sons and daughters in the war. Remember, the ones eligible are already serving so, no you won't see them. Besides, many of us ineligible are still permitted to have an opinion. If you drive a convoy, you still have to be able to fight if attacked. And you have to have the stamina to take the long hours. You have a very narrow view.

I'm from Ct. and i thank you and your family for your service. I currently support the war to spread freedom to rid the world of terrorism. I do see your point. The ones touting their support are usually the ones whom have little to lose. I wonder how many of them currently have young relatives currently serving in Iraq. I have 5 little girls and frankly I'm afraid for their future. The world has a big ole zit on it and it's apparently it's coming to a head. I hope it all bids well for those of us whom love our freedom. Though i support the war right now I am becoming more concerned over the possibilities of the threat of globalization as it's result. Our country is so bitterly divided and is far from where our founding fathers intended. It sounds from your question as if your a level headed open minded person. Whether you are a Liberal or a Conservative, a Democrat or Republican, I think i have found some info on a party you may be interested in. My E-Mail is LeeCenterLPN.com@aol.com if you wish to comment.

It's naive and offensive to support what is essentially an illegal and unconstitutional war brought on for only two reasons: Bush wanted to 'finish' what his daddy started during Desert Storm, and LimpDick Cheney wants all the OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands.
Yes, every patriot should support our troops - but should adamantly oppose the war and the evil sub-humans who sent our soldiers there to fight a senseless war in a country that did not threaten, provoke or attack the U.S.A.
If this war is so just and moral, then why aren't Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld (and their children) all over there leading the valiant effort toward victory?
If our goal is to bring 'democracy' to Iraq, why don't we invade other countries whose despotic leaders kill, rape, and violate their own countrymen? The answer is simple: those countries have no OIL, which the United States covets. So let the rape and genocide continue unabated.
That's why we'll settle our differences with North Korea diplomatically. But we'll go to war with Iran as soon as Bush can figure out a plausible excuse (he knows weapons of mass destruction won't work again). Why Iran? Not because he wants to bring 'peace and democracy' to that country...but because he and Cheney want Iran's OIL so they and their friends at Halliburton, Exxon-Mobil and Bechtol can get richer and richer and richer.
Those who support the war should be invited to participate. If they're too old or too frail to fight on the front lines, certainly they can volunteer for less rigid duty, such as clerical work.
I vehemently oppose this immoral war, just as I vehemently opposed the Vietnam conflict. I patriotically support our troops, just as I patriotically supported our troops during World War II.
America had no business invading Iraq. Surely Satan will have a special oil-soaked corner of Hell reserved for Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld where they can spend their eternal damnation blaming each other for making such a mess of our world.
Bush is a cowardly 'cowboy' who doesn't mind putting others in harm's way just to satisfy his own personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein. Cheney is a greedy, evil, contemptible sub-human who could care less about the sanctity of human lives; all he cares about is OIL profiteering. Rumsfeld is a moron with the morals of a common alleycat. He is the one who, during a press conference shortly after the war started, was asked about the consequences of the war, and how the deaths of so many people affected so many others. Rumsfeld's insensitivity couldn't have been displayed any better when he arrogantly answered with just two words: "Stuff Happens". These men are the incarnation of the Devil, and deserve to be tried for crimes against humanity by an international tribunal. If convicted, they deserve nothing less than to face a public firing squad. -RKO-

This is probably one of the dumbest questions I have read since joining Yahoo Answers...
Can someone support abortion and not perform the procedure?
Can someone support Arbor day and yet not live in a wood framed house?
Don't use anything made of plastic or you are supporting the Evil Oil Overlords!!!(Saudis, Iranians, Bush *wink wink*) When will it end!! AAAccccckkkkk!!
A point in one of the other answers was a good one. Maybe there are a lot of veterans from previous wars. My grandfather supports the war (most of it), yet there is no way he could help. He served in WWII and is 91 years old.
I hope you posed this question due to your naiveness.

I was against the, war i agree there were good points to having saddam removed but it wasn't worth it given the state of the country now. In my experience (and i know this isn't true for everyone) but the people who have supported the war don't actually know very much about it. One guy i knew said when war broke out he wanted to join the army to 'kill iraqis'.

I agree .
The description you give some of these people would have experienced some form of combat ww2 or Vietnam .
If not involved themselves love ones who participated.
They are aware that the only way to have freedom which we enjoy today is through military victory which our fore fathers fought for.
