Well what i know is that the accessories menu and all its subfolders and programs are optional components of Windows XP . Many of the accessories programs can be added or removed easily from the computer as follows :
Control panel >>Add Remove Programs >>Add Remove windows components .
the fact that these accessories programs can be removed from the computer is to save disk space as well as Windows may run without them .. if you want to add thses accessories programs you can do that from the window of Add remove programs >>Add remove Windows components but with inserting the setup CD of Windows XP in the CD Driver.

actually there is, it's not a program, but if u click on it, it takes you to a tab that has lots of programs, so to get there, you click on start> all programs> then accessories.

move to the drive in which ur window is unstalled, let us suppose it c:
C:>windows>system32>mspaint>right clik>send to desktop>drag to the menu
for wordpad
C:>documents and settings>ur login name>programs>accessories>wordpad>same as above
