I would say this is a two part answer for me. I am both very proud of my nationality also very proud of my heritage.
Being born in Canada I am a very proud Canadian and everything this country represents. Like to understand the history of my country and travel my country and really understand it before travelling else where. I believe all nationalities have things to be proud of but also to reflect on and see the downside as well.
Also in terms of heritage I am a strong believer in knowing where I come from, my background and my families history. With that being said I am also proud to be and support England as well. Not just in sport but I am proud to tell people my background.
You are what you believe you are and what you live. We all are shaped by our nationality for good, bad or indifferent.

I am proud of my country! We once owned a quarter of the world! The sun never set on the British Empire! but yeah, Im going to join the British Army to help my country out a bit more!

I'm ashamed of the way our Government treats its people with such contempt.
Why are so many foreigners allowed to come and live in the country on benefits? Which other country does that?
Why do my daughters have to live in a bed-sit because that's all they can afford while their taxes pay for wasters who have never done anything with their lives have everything, including detached 4 bedroom houses, laid on at public expence?
Single mums are exploiting the system in a most cynical matter.
Far better to be a black or east european immigrant than a native born English person.

Watching the world cup this years I think the Brits were very well behaved and set a good example, but only for the reason that the hooligan element of our society was stopped from leaving home andgoing to Germany! Things could have been so different!!

I am from the US and not really that proud because we are making some bad decisions and things aren't going that well. I wish I was from Europe sometimes because I adore their culture!
