Nars and MAC work great! If you go to your local Nemien's, Macy's or Filene's (uggh, I know) You can usually find a MAC counter or a Nars counter and they can help you find a look that's your own! Most of the time the consultation is free just go right up and ask they'll be happy to do it for you. You don't want to go with advice from the net because the person giving it to you cannot see your eyes, skin and hair (which all count in makeup application) and will not really know how to bring out the best. Some of the products are a bit pricey (it's worth it for me) so what you can do is write down the names and remember the colors and you can find less expensive substitutes. Hope it all works out!

Use a liquid liner on the top and bottom close to the lash line be careful it takes practice!! Then a mini-brush mascara on the top and bottom 1/2 coats and it will make your lashes cute but not take away from the eyes then try a purple or a dramatic color I think MAC has great stuff for you, apply that to the lid. Use funky colors like Green, Purple, Blues ect in vibrate colors on the shadow

try Hard Candy, Sephora, Smashbox, and MAC

Ok so you say you where eyeliner and mascara well try making the eyeliner thicker and make sure to put it on the top and the bottom of your eye. If you need mascara then get my favorite mascara, full n soft from maybelline new york! (it really works great) also if you like color experiment with eyeshadow for your eyes, but if you dont like color then get a eyeshadow thats just a little darker or lighter then you skin tone to do up your eyes. also try smudging your eyeliner. GLITTER is always fun if you like to where it.

Clinique and Lancome have very good shadow colors.
First start with a water based foundation so it goes on thin, put it on your eyelids too, this will hold your shadow perfectly all day.
Then dust your face and eyes with a loose powder.
Eyeliner next, starting at the outside of your eye and working in, dont draw it on make small strokes.
Eyeshadow, use smokey colors, browns, golds, cream colors
Start with the outer edge of eye and go about half way into lid with your darkest color. Then fill the rest of your lid in with a lighter shade. Then from your brow down use a very soft but shimmery color like a soft gold.
Use earth tones for blush, it keeps it natural.
Curl your lashes always and then put on the mascara.
Keep your lipstick the same shades as your shadow and blush, like golds or coppers, with a light gloss
Hope this helps

Almay makes a liquid black eyeliner that is easy to apply and you can make your eyes slanted "the cat effect" it is waterproof, and stays on all day- If you want your eyes even more dramatic, you can put fake eyelashes on top of that and then they are big, dark and dramatic. Even Revlon makes fake eyelashes now, but be careful and use the glue otherwise they will fall off.

Dramatic? Go for blue. Blue looks good on everyone. Apply a light blue eye shadow to your bottom upper lid and then apply a dark blue at the crease, blend some of it, so it looks like the bottom is drk blue and the rest light blue. Don't forget to add eyeliner on your top lip and bottom. Add mascara and you're all set!

when applying eyeshadow use a series of shades of a similar coloour theme...

ie.. a soft light cream colour, a soft green colour and a deeper green colour.

use a fine applicator for the dark colour and apply a thin line nearest to your eyelashes, then a slightly broader applicator to apply the medium colour and then the lightest colour is applied with the broad applicator.

Try using four colours, try altering the thickness of the first line of dark colour from fine nearest to the nose then thickening toward the outer eye.

Don't be afraid to experiement and play around with contrasting colours remember makeup can always be removed and begun again. Play with your makeup when in the mood and learn what looks good on you by experimenting.

Have Fun

go to the mall, and go to a make up counter. I use chanel and mac eye shadows, because they really last quite a long time, and to me are worth the price! Have the girl put some shades on you, and have her show you how she applied them! Buy a few different colors, go home, and experiment! My favorite way to make my eyes dramatic at night, is to use black eyeshadow, on the outside corner of my eyes. It is so fun to just play around with colors, and see how you can make yourself look! But having a pro show you techniques is your best first step.

The Rimmel Jungle collection is really smoky and dark. Basically any Rimmel eye product is very effective and dramatic.
