Keep it in the vault. The vault is like a little box that keeps the virus from getting to the rest of the system. If you let it out it will be able to spread. Leave it in there for a couple days and if nothing goes wrong with your computer then you can delete the file.

I've been in the same situation before. I was afraid of leaving it in my vault so I DELETED it. After that things were normal as before. I don't know about you, but I deleted the virus along with the files and nothing bad happened. After that I had a complete scan and no virus/errors were found.

Go ahead and delete it from the vault. Its one of those "better safe then sorry" features.

AVG will move a file to the vault if that file might be needed to run our PC. If it is essential, you are able to restore the file from the vault. But in 3 years of using the program, I have never had to restore one.

If you have booted the PC and everything is working fine, you can delete the file. It is not needed.
