As a general principle, it is not an all-or-nothing thing. Miss a day and you have an increased chance of getting pregnant. Miss two days and the chances are increased further.

What you have going for you is that you missed only one day and the fact that it was at the end of your cycle.

Without any protection at all, one does not get pregnant every time one has sex---still not an all-or-nothing thing---but a probability that is uncomfortably high.

If pregnancy would be bad news, do your very best not to miss a pill. Missing pills now and again is inevitable, in which case use back-up protection like condoms for the rest of your cycle.

You should be protected.
You should never take two pills at a time, you are not increasing protection, you are over loading your body with hormones, not a good idea, that can make you very sick.
If in doubt, always use another form of birth control, along with the pill, such as a condom or some form of spermicidal jelly.
Hope this helps.
