No I haven't and having lived in Sri Lanka and knowing the island relatively well, can't say I recognise the above named hotel. My uncle is a senior chap in the Tourism board there and through him mainly, we know what are the good and not so good hotels.
Having read the first response you've had, sounds like you should avoid this hotel like the plague !!
Do not fear however, I can make a few recommendations - Royal Palms Beach Hotel and Kani Lanka if you are staying in Kalutara.
Bit if you are flexible with the area, further down the coast, Hikkaduwa is extremely popular - Amaya Reef Hotel here is very nice. And further south, Galle, has the best beach/bay in the country - best place to stay along the coast - Unawatuna Beach Resort Hotel is good, but best is a smallish but funky place called Thaproban - I stayed here and everything was brilliant.
Check out the following websites;
www.reddottours.com (sri lankan tour specialists, prices on web pages are lower when and if you decide to book through them) This site is great beacuse of detailed photos of each hotel.

Our disappointment was immediate - the exterior and lobby area where we were greeted is very shabby. The more we saw, the worse it got. The pool is filthy, with many broken and cracked tiles and surrounded by smooth paving which is a health hazard when wet. The shower by the pool was black with algae. The leaky skylight and mouldy stairrail and carpet in the main building were beyond belief! We had paid a supplement for a cabana room by the beach. These rooms were still being refurbished following the tsunami and this area of the hotel was very much a building site, with high levels of noise, strong smells of varnish and paint and unlit pathways which were dangerous at night. Our room was infested with ants and generally very disapponting. The restaurant did not compensate for our disappointment. The buffet was lukewarm at best and several of our party suffered gastric problems while staying there. We were fortunate in that our rep moved us to another hotel so we only had two nights here and did not have to put up with it any longer. However, had we seen the reviews which we have subsequently seen on holidaywatchdog, we would never have booked this hotel in the first place.
