It does not have to be an STD as such. Non Specific Eurethritis is a possibility along with a number of other ailments.
Stinging could mean you are too dry or that for some reason so if that is a possibility try a lubricant.
Your fluids could also be acidic in which case it would be indicative that you have a medical problem.
Best thing is to get to the doctor and get it checked out.

If you have never cheated on him and he hasn't on you then its probably not an STD. STD's can be passed from birth but i assume you haven't encountered it before so it rules out that possibility. It could be some kind of infection that one of you has contracted and passed to the other. If you don't want to go to the doctor's you can get some special wash kits fron a pharmacy, if that doesn't work then you should see a doctor.

a nures opinion here: from the systoms you describe you absolutely need to be checked out. it could be as simple as an staff infection and while having sex irrates your partner from the mucus. Or it can be a very complex things as either of you have had a blood transfusion in 1982 or earlyier? Blood was not screened for aids till end of 82.( back than you didnt get it from jus cheating).so it can range from something simple to more complex ... Not trying to scare yous by any means but you need to get in asap.
Fore both your sakes go in!!!! Goodluck and will say a pray for yous.let me know how it goes....

Sorry, but if you're having problems like this, you may have more problems than you think. There really are some STD's you can pick up from a toilet seat (my husband works for the Indiana State Department of Health in what he refers to as "Diseases 'R' Us"), and one of you could have picked one up that way, but not all of them can be transmitted like that.

It's probably NOT a yeast infection---they normally don't make your private parts sting. More than likely it is some form of STD, but you two need to go to a Dr. in order to find out what's wrong. IF anything, you need to go.....It can affect you in ways that you may not know of. You guys deserve the right to know. Isn't it killing you not to know? Also....go to www.webmd.com, they tend to have LOTS of self help information there. I hope this works! GOOD LUCK :)

was this at least 3 days after contact? was the sting during urination? was there discharge? if so, then its std, go see a doctor immediately. if no, it could be yeast infection. anyway it good to consult a doctor to put your mind to ease. good luck!

You wont necessarily have an STD, you could have a bacterial infection.
You need to go to see your GP, if you would like to discuss this with someone outside of your close ring of people then there should be a walk in GU clinic.
The very best of luck to you both.

Go to the doctor. It might be just a yeast infection - men can get it too.
