Please be patient. Your body and your baby will know when it is time. Inductions are harder on mom and baby. Trust your body and your baby to come when it is time. All babies DO come out, I promise. If you aren't dilating yet, an induction isn't favorable anyway.

Go get a massage. See if you can find a massage therapist who does cranial sacral therapy. This will take away some of your discomforts and balance your body. It will make labor easier when it comes. It's also very relaxing!

Consider seeing a chiropractor. Again, it will take away some of your aches and pains and help to balance your body for labor.

Do pelvic rocking to encourage baby into a good position and help make you more comfortable.

Make sure that you are staying well hydrated. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids as dehydration can bring on contractions. If you are having contractions, drink a big glass of water and lay down on your left side for a while to see if they go away.

Pamper yourself. Go get a haircut or get your nails done. You won't have time to do these things once the baby is born. (They are much easier to take care of while they are still in the womb!)

Get some evening primrose oil capsules (EPO) and insert them up near your cervix right before bed each night. If you want, you can prick them with a pin and squeeze the oil out and rub it into your cervix. This will help ripen your cervix, but will not induce labor.

Walk to help bring baby down into the pelvis more.

Having sex can help to ripen the cervix (semen does this) and orgasm can bring on contractions. IF YOUR BODY IS NOT READY....then nothing will happen and you'll just frustrate yourself.

I'm about 37 weeks.I was 50 % effaced and dilated. That was a few weeks ago.I'm still pregnant. But if you think you are having contractions I would call your doctor.Cause you can have them with out being all the way effaced.

You will have the baby within the next few weeks. You doctor would probably induce you if you or your baby were at risk or if you were a week overdue. Stick it out and go into labor naturally. It will be easier on you and the baby. An induced labor is very stressful.

I would give the baby alittle more time. I didn't start dilating at all till my last week and then only to 1 before i got induced. If the doc has a concern she'll induce. But it couldn't hurt to ask her about it.

I dilate, 0 to 10 in just a few hours before delivering, everyone is different. Good luck.

The contractions tell me ,um yes it will be soon. Now if this is your first(I'm guessing it is) you will probably be in labor awhile. No need for the Dr. to induce.
