Why does it say do not use before work with heavy machinery on the back of childrens tylenol? I mean..really could we save that many people by getting those darn five year-olds with headcolds off those forklifts!

They're just covering all the bases that they can. I'm sure their legal department had something to do with that warning being put there. Unfortunately we live in a time where some folks just don't think. An adult might take some pain reliever made specifically for a child and then go and operate a car or heavy machinery, get hurt (or killed) and then turn around and sue the manufacturer simply because "it didn't say so on the packaging".

It's all in how medicine effects different people. My step mother can take a children's tylenol and be knocked out for the next couple of hours...

Because, they use the same warnings because it's the same medication, just a different strength. Some adults might use it.
