I have a son with my girlfriend and the problem is everytime I set a rule for him 2 follow she has a problem He is 4yrs old and very clever he is not stupid. I went out of my way 2 buy all the things that she said would help him sleep in his room, mind u he sleeps between us all the time and when I'm not there instead of her put him in his bed she sleeps with him and now he does sleep in his bed but she has 2 lay next him until he falls 2 sleep. This not my sons fault it is hers. Can anyone tell me what the f...k is going on and what I should do cause I am miserable and I am tired of fighting with this woman who never gives me a good logicle reason why she does what she does???????????????????

You need to both stop undermining each other, this is how a child learns munipulation. My little brother didn't sleep alone until he was 7, because my parents never made him. I think it is unhealthy.

Seek counselling. Both you and your girl friend. Seriously! Before it is to late for the child.
If you can't afford it or your health care policy doesn't cover it, get started reading about raising children. Engage your girlfriend to do the same. There are a lot of books about child rearing, most of them good. Ya never stop learning. Now focus on the child and your relationship with your girlfriend.

sounds like mom is having a hard time letting him to be alone.
kids need to sleep alone to know how to put themselves to sleep.
she needs to learn how to let go. dont know what would work. ask her just to stay with him for 10min, the first night, instead of till he falls asleep. and keep subtracting time till its all down to no time.
