First, you or Barbara haven't a clue what you are talking about, The government only has the right to get involved when parent's fail to do theirs as parents.

Some things are controversial, but parents aren't Md's and every other child in America deserves to be risk free from childhood disease that once eradicated many families! You have no right to put other peoples children at-risk!

The states do NOT want your kids! As children have no rights, except negative one, the state is obligated under the Child Protection act, to intervene when kids are put in danger by their parents whose only parenting skills were learned from their parents, good or bad.

Another issue is a lot of times you have unskilled workers thrown into the lions den. They often make mistakes. Mistakes thatput kids at risk for death and, on the other side, do too much in trying to compensate for their inexperience. The primary reason for that is poor pay for those who have a master's and case loads 2 times what they should have!! They are not going to stick around earning $10,000 less than that of average Americans, when they are in the top 15% in education!

Your ilk want children to be born into homes where they are prime candidates for abuse and neglect, and when they are, you conservatives don't want anyone to do anything about those abused or neglected. That is why I am pro choice! People like you want to give Fetus rights, but are unwilling to give children who are already born any!!!

I thought that we were wards of the state already.The other day on the news there was this 16 year old kid who was very well spoken and mature ,that is not being allowed by the state to make his own medical decisions regarding his cancer treatment. If this was some pregnant teenager she could have slithered into an abortion clinic and nothing would have been said.

because for some reason they really do think they are better then most. the worst thang about it that they are hurting the children worse. I was once a ward of the courts, they completely messed me up, and now that i got kids, they are always right there. they took my babies, and use the fact that I WAS A WARD OF THE COURTS against me.. what is that? i think that these people need to get over themselves. heck, most of them don't even have kids of there own!!!! HELLO!!!!

Its sick that the degeneration of marriage and family can go this far.

Since when did the right to medical treatment (which no one can afford, and some people dont even want) become the required medical law? Its sick how doctors rule our lives. People have a right to live how they want, and to die how they want.

Because if you raise your own children, you'll teach them all wrong. You will probably teach them that there is right and wrong. You might teach them some nonsense about freedom being better than the government controlling your life. You might raise them to be one of those hate-mongering Christian people. You might teach them that anything a liberal says is wrong. And we can't have that, now can we?

That's the best question I have seen all week. The answer is they can't any better that anybody else. But to assume Big Brother can do a better job may be as simple as guilt or as complex as their belief that everybody else (particularly the Blacks) are too stupid to do it themselves.
