I don't drink.
I do smoke because I'm addicted to the nicotine. Over the years, it has probably also turned into a habit in terms of behavior. (i.e. I smoke while on the pc, but not in the bedroom or living room. I do smoke in the car, but don't miss the cigarette in the gym).
Now, I have a question for you. Why do people overeat when they know it's harmful; why do people do anything that's bad for them when they full well know it. I actually think that there really is no easy answer. 10 years ago, nobody cared whether smoking was harmful. In another 10 years, the vice du jour may be soda.. who knows.

It may be harmful, but it hasn't affected my ability to spell, or use grammar. Obviously something has affected yours.
