Feed the baby when she is hungry. Don't try to set her to a schedule. Little newborns eat slower and fill up faster than older babies. For a point of reference look at your baby's little fist. That is the size of her stomach. 2 oz. might be filling her up temporarily. If you are worried, talk to her doctor when you take her back for her next scheduled visit.

feed your baby when she is hungry and only make as much as you think she will eat. If she gets hungry again give her more. I don't know who told you to wait 2 hours, but I don't think that is right. A baby eats when a baby is hungry. My son was formula fed also, but he drank every 2 hours 4 oz. if your baby is hungry 30 min after eating 2 oz give her another 2 and see how long it takes for her to be hungry again.

If the baby is acting hungry, feed her. She will eat what she wants, don't try to force her to eat more than she will at a time.
I breastfed all three of my, so I really don't have much more info about it than that. When breastfeeding, babies eat every two to three hours. It's better for her is she eats smaller amounts more often then stuffing herself. Letting her learn her own hunger cues, will help her as she gets older to recognize true hunger from "clean your plate" hunger.
Making her wait 2 hours between feedings no matter what is not a healthy eating habit. Babies are all different, what may work for one will not work for another. You will figure your little bundle of joy out soon enough. And just when you think you have her figured out, she will change.
Good Luck and Blessings.

When I had my baby girl she was 8 ounces and 6 pounds and she ate little by little to and the doctor also told me the same thing but whenever you feel that your baby is hungry feed her because you want to have a healthy and strong baby and if you put your baby on an feeding schedule it will never get the proper nutrients it need to survive to become an healthy baby. My daughter is 9 months and weigh 45 pounds.

waiting the 2 hrs is for your benefit, you need to teach her to eat every 2 hours then every 4 hrs and so on as she grows. If you keep feeding her every 30 mins she will always want to eat every 30 mins. you will be teaching her that food is always there. You are not going to starve your baby to death waiting 2 hours. Next time she wants to eat at 30 mins try to wait an hour, then next time an hour and 15 min. and so on. It will teach her to eat more when the food is there to eat. And will help her to sleep longer and rest better, so you can have your breaks to rest and do what you need to do. As far as mixing the formulas, I dont know what kind you use, alot depends on the kind she is on. You are best to ask your doctor.

No you cant put old on the new, If your child eats every 2 hours thats fine if she cries and wants more its probably time for a burp, they act the same way hungry when they have to burp. only put 2 oz. in the bottle, after they eat a bottle you cant refed after an hour, and if she is eating every 30 min. she is not getting enough.

Make sure you are burping her at the appropriate time, too. she may be filling up on air!
If she is a newborn and she is hungry, feed her. Just make sure her weight stays in the normal range. But as she gets older, she will fall into a better schedule.

I've never formula fed, but I can tell you this.....follow your baby's cues. Your baby knows better when she is hungry than some book or some doctor who doesn't live in your house.

If you read the back of the can of formula it has directions on how to feed your baby. Follow those directions.

i've never used formula, as it lowers the baby's iq and increases its risk for diabetes and cancer. i do know, without a doubt, that baby's should be fed on demand. do not schedule her.
what are you teaching her about life when her own body's cues are meaningless?
it's like the nightmare of every child in day care, crying for mommy (oh, don't worry, she stops as soon as you leave ) who doesn't come. the child learns that her own efforts on her behalf are meaningless, and mommy wants her to be unhappy. of course they stop crying - trying to get their needs met is useless.
respect your child.
