when creating a calender, is it possible to have 5 different events in the same month, but different colors? Thanks

No, this is not possible in the regular way the system's use is intended. I wonder, however, if you could make this happen (if it's something you _really_ wanted), by creating additional calendars that ARE different colors and then adding each event under a separate calendar. It's somewhat tedious, but depending on how much you'd like to achieve this goal, it offers the possibility.

Using different colors in events are not supported by Google Calendar yet.
