I agree with Karen and Jay S, its a techinical term based on an IQ score. But remember IQ's are not perfect... the questions they ask are culturally relative (ie, an Australian wont perform as well on an American test as on an Australian one). They're also criticised for valuing some intelligences above others, eg, skills in maths over skills in art appreciation (thats just a random example). In other words, IQ's are just a guide to intelligence, so "genius" is also.

Cuando se supo (ese año) que eran personas arriba de 114 (1970), te atosigan, todos quieren buscar un ángulo en el que te superen, eso pasó en una Institución financiera que no fue discreta, los 15 amigos que estaban ahi, se dispersaron en menos de siete años, se dedicaron a varias actividades diferentes (nada que ver con la empresa que hizo los estudios) y no buscaron reflectores, la envidia y miedos de la gente hacen que mejor te disperses, cualquier mujer querÃa tener un hijo con un alto IQ, saber como se enamoran, qué piensan, por cierto en ese estudio no habia Ni una muijer, feos pocos, ni un ser de preferencias diferentes.

as already said a person who's I.Q. is above 132.. is called a genious....
but that dosent pay all...,,,,, eg sachin is said Genious when it comes to cricket,Pele for football,Roger for tennis .....
Today's I.Q. is checked in terms of mathematical abilities and your knowledge in arts ,, Practically that alone dosent count a persons Genious....................
