Your aksing how long does it take to come in? When my daughter was born, I had it within a week. I called social security from the hospital and made an appt. That was 23 yrs ago! I'm sure they are doing it more efficiently now.

In Illinois, the hospital sends off the forms to the Social Security Administration for you - it seems to me like I got my kids' SS cards back in like 3-4 weeks.

Should only take a couple of weeks.

My son was born almost 11 weeks ago. They said it would take 6 to 8 weeks, and we still don't have it yet. So, who knows?
