I keep hearing libs say that Bush lied but what did he lie about? He didn’t make up the story about WMDs in Iraq. I’ve seen video tape of Clinton saying and Gore and the rest saying the same thing years before Bush was in office and besides didn’t they find a bunch of old gas bombs recently anyway? He was also right about terrorists being in Iraq. We uncovered tons of Iraqi documentation that shows they had close ties to Al Queda. Saddam did kill thousands of his own people. So what’s the deal? What are they saying he lied about?

So the feedback so far from the libs consists of people who can’t spell or use proper English saying Bush lied about how smart he is as if they could possibly judge and people ignoring the fact that EVERYONE including Clinton when he was president said Iraq had WMDs. Make you wonder if these people have half a brain or not.

His first reason to go to war was because Saddaam had reinstated his nuclear program. When inspectors found that he had not done so, Bush changed the reason for war to the Iraq-Al Qaeda ties. Then, when the 9-11 commission discovered that there were no ties between the two, he changed his story AGAIN to say that Saddaam killed thousands of his own citizens (which was undoubtably true). It wasn't just Bush that lied, it was the whole administration. Cheney said in an interview that there was "no doubt" that Hussein had reinstated his nuclear weapons program. We're more upset at this administration for lying about the reasons for war and the fact that we can't go through any kind of disciplinary action because it is a republican run congress. They wanted to impeach Clinton for lying about an affair but they don't want to even question Bush's lies about the war. And yes...there were terrorists in Iraq, but they didn't have connections to the Iraqi government and they weren't in such large numbers until we invaded. And the WMDs that they found were OLD. They were not new weapons which is what the Bush administration said Saddaam had. He did lie, but your news source (which I'm only assuming is FOX) will only tell you what they want you to hear, and that's "They found the WMDs," "Democrats are liars," and "Clinton, Gore, and Kerry all said we should go to war with Iraq." They won't tell you that they all received the intelligence that was later found to be faulty. That's why they approved of invading Iraq. But you won't know that unless you change the channel and decide for yourself what is the truth.

What a lot of people dont realize is that while we were gaining APPROVAL (thats a big mean word that means we had other countries in agreement with us, supporting our actions) from the UN, Saddam was shipping munitions to Syria.

We have intellegence that suggests this. Its not in the media because the majority of Americans will not pay money to hear about success in our Iraqi efforts.

Complaining about liberals bitching and moaning is like complaining that a dog cant tell you what it did yesterday, or set long term goals. Liberals live entirely in the moment, and their range of reason is limited strictly to their own comfort and ease of living.

They have to fight to keep their happy hippy fairy land free and clear of reality. And reality is we need to finish what we started in Iraq, whether it feels good, is easy, or cheap. THey'd rather point fingers and have our boys come running home in defeat, making all their suffering and deaths valueless, and leaving the Iraqi people without any hope of a future. Because that's what feels good to them.

THankfully last time i checked people who are capable of seeing the big picture and make and reach long term goals, and conclude with reason, were still in the majority. Although God knows for how much longer.

Also, i just wanted to throw in here, that the war didnt start with Iraq, i dont know where everyone was while this was happening, but we were searching for bin laden in afganistan when Iraq started its conflict with the UN over its nuclear program. Even the UN had cause to believe they had WMD. That was before we even got envolved.

Al Qaeda had no tie with Saddam. Osama and Hussein hated each other literally. The terrorist organization that Iraq was associated was Hamas or Hezbollah (I can't remember which). There's one official lie that I could find. Bush also said if we didn't do anything to disarm Saddam, he would've attacked us, even though there were no indication that Hussein would've really fired a nuke at the US. Plus, the war's going on for a while and everyone's pretty frustrated with it, so statements will arise. Other than the war, Bush did lie about a lot of other things.

The events of 9-11 played for Bush to use Iraq and WMD to go to war. Remember Bsh number one and the Gulf War that he failed to carry out. Also remember being told by James Baker the first Gulf war was for jobs and OIL.

Can not trust Bush when he talks!

He used terrorism as an excuse to attack Iraq, he said they weren't attacking for the oil but for the freedom of the people, and yet US troops were ordered to defend an oil rig while a hospital was under attack 5 miles up the road. But the biggest thing in my opinion is that he broke the laws of the UN and went to war ignoring everyone else.

Bush lied about his pre-war intelligence in the September 11 attacks. There were reports in almost every major newspaper which states that the government recieved numerous warnings from other countries about the attack. Although Bush and Rice have both claimed they never heard about it.

He lied about bugging phones to hear conversations of supposed terrorists. He said there were no bugs, but lo and behold, there were several. it's not as bad as lying about the WMD's, but he still lied to the american people.
