well pal, you are comparing two different genres of sitcoms totally, friends is a no-brainer and all time-pass stuff with wide variety of audience and Sex and the city is for people with mature taste. now, dont ask me whats mature cos there is no specific definition for that and there are no conditions to judge whats mature and whats not!! i used the word cos the producers use it before the show for viewer discretion. however, if you think my vote counts, then my choice always is "Friends".

Sex in the city, as corny and cliched as it was sometimes I really enjoyed seeing how it all unfolded. The contrast of the 4 friends and the lives they had was really something. Friends was always a show I'd watch if nothing else was on, it was funny and always entertaining but there isn't an episode I want to see twice. I always found something about their set to be really dull and there was always too much hype over the actors of the show for me.

No contest they are both AWESOME shows!!!! I have both complete series all 6 years of sex and the city and all 10 years of friends and I can watch both anytime....they are completely different shows but w/ S.C. you can relate exactly to it and it answers some of those questions you are too afraid to ask...and friends is hilarious...there both great shows...but they are now over tand thats sad...but grey's anatomy is the thing I'm hooked on now!!!

friends is waaaay better, sex in the city even tho for adults (and im an adult) is very lame....friends come up with the most unique jokes...just like ANGEL said..DUH!
