The facility that AOL has, that notifies the sender that the recipient HAS OPENED your email. Does Yahoo have that facility ? If it does, how do we trigger it ? -- Does Hotmail have it ? What about Inbox.com ? I woud prefer not to start opening accounts all over the place just to find this out. Thank in advance for your help.

"onename" -- thank you for your answer but this is what msgtag says:
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS - ALL PRODUCTS

Windows 98, 2000, Me or XP

Almost any email program including Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Pegasus, Netscape Mail and Incredimail

You need to be using an SMTP mail server, which almost every home computer uses

Please note that Hotmail, Yahoo!, AOL and similar services do not use the SMTP protocol, and so CANNOT be used to run MSGTAG

Additionally, MSGTAG will not work with an MS Exchange mail server
----
So it will not work with Yahoo. Pity !!! Thanks anyway.

i would like to know too,
but my 2 pts worth is to add that this feature also can be defeated, in other words i can open your mail, and block it so you dont know i opened it,
if i so choose.
it's part of spam security in case because spammers want to know if you are really an active account.
of course i wouldn't use that feature if i got mail from a friend...

I've searched all of the options in Yahoo and can't find it (both yahoo and btinternet accounts!).

If anyone finds it in Yahoo it would be really useful to know how to do it!
