When I was pregnant I started to use Afrin for my stuffy nose. After using it for a couple of weeks I could not breathe without it. She is now five years old. I have been to the doctor and he gave me a nasal spray a steroid and it did not work. Does anyone know of a way to quit. I need to breathe through my nose. I am extremely claustraphobic. Please Help.

I really know how you feel Ive been on them for 25 years. Ever day its the same thing ny nose stops up so tight i have to bteathe through my mouth. and I wake up EVER night my nose stoped up. And i hate to tell you this but me Dr. told me the ONLY wat to get off nose spray is to go for a week and not use it. But heII I can't do that by the 2nd day I would be breathing through my asshloe I would be stoped up so bad!! Anyway it's the only way to get off of them is to go for a week!
