You are usually contagious for at least a week - being on drops does not make you noncontagious. Many schools have policies that as long as you no longer have discharge, you may come back to school. But the progression usually follows the rules of 7 - it gets worse and shows up the first 7 days, then you are still contagious for the next 7.

After you are put on the eye drops you are good however you can be reinfected from bedding and areas which you have touched after touching your eye. Time to do some serious scrubbing with bleach of everything and launder your bedding. Good luck.
