well There are a few things that can cause, and relieve snoring.
some of the causes can be as minor as being a little bit overweight.
So, it may be as simple as losing some weight, but, there are some things that can be done to help.
You can have your adenoids removed, you can have your sinus cavities cleaned, You can have your epiglotis thinned down,
You can also use a cpap machine, This delivers controlled air pressure through a mask, which must be worn at night.
Most of these items describe aids for sleep aepnoea, which you may, or may not have, if you do suffer from this it would be wise to seek assistance from a G.P. this can be very debilatative as the symptoms can be as bad as cessation of breathing while sleeping, thus starving the brain of oxygen. You will wake up groggy and feel unrested, so this can be very dangerous.
If you have symptoms like these, see your G.P. You will be surprised how good you can feel when you are rested, and fully oxygenated.

I have heard that exercising and a proper pillow usually solves the problem.
