If I am understanding this question correctly, you are asking to compare a classy e-mail address to a classless e-mail address. I know of no other item this could refer to.

Now, who is determining which e-mail address is "classy" and which are "classless"? Some may think an address is very classy and another may think is is trashy or "classless". One may think an address is a bit tawdry or of poor taste, and another will thinkk it cute, funny, imaginitive, innovative, etc.

This is really in the eye of the beholder. I am not in a position to judge what others will think of a particular address. I know I myself to not enjoy receiveing mail from someone using sexysusan@abc.cba. I also do not find studlystan@abc.cba enchanting either. But there are many who like these types of addresses very much, as we see a lot of them.

Now, if you had asked me to compare a "professional" sounding or looking address compared to a "non-professional" sounding or looking address I could answer that much easier. Sexysusan is not at all professional looking nor does it lend an image of professionalisim. Nor does studlystan. However it is becoming increasingly insecure to use your first or last inititial with your first or last name, as computer programs work non-stop to generate possible viable addresses to send spam out to. It is common practice in business to use the first initial with the last name or vise versa in business e-mail addressing. So, just get the domain name of the mail server with the few extensions used and a computer program can generate millions of potential addresses for spam victims.

So, companys are increasinly encouraging their employees to come up with more creative names for their e-mail addressing. Which brings us back to sexysusan and studlystan. While I can not think of many businesses which would encourage such addresses, they ARE asking employees to be more creative, so how can they complain when a few use addresses such as these? LOL

Of course some type of guideline must be implimented in these more creative addresses, but can you imagine the trouble and work it would take to monitor these things so tightly? The loss of productivity in having employees who just aid other employees in creating "professional" looking addresses without using too creative addresses! lol
