Becoming a millionaire requires perseverance, persistence, and a dream (which will be converted into a series of achievable goals)! There are people who are *born* millionaires because of family inheritance, There are people who become millionaires because of wind falls (lottery, gambling, even stock market!), BUT MOST millionaires are self made. Most Millionaires started with an ambition, then had short term and long term goals, and they persistently and consistently work to achieve their goals and ultimately their ambition. The glory we associate with Millionaires sometimes blind us from seeing the sweat and endured pain (people looking down on them, rejections, failures ...) which Millionaires went through.

I find that the ultimate distinguishing "feature" of a millionaire is his/her mind. His/her mind is vast (very knowledgeable on a lot of things/issues/topics. Their knowledge span wide and drills deep), open (always open to new ideas, avid learners, thrilled by new concepts and ideology), analytical (they LOVE to think, analyse, and solve problems).

With a powerful mind, and a determined heart , willing to work and work and work, millionaires achieve what they want over a couple of years. Traditionally, it seems to take at least 10 years (this seems to be the case for people now in their 50's). But nowadays, with technology and the power of real time information, I believe we can take a shorter time to become a millionaire, if we are determined enough!

Is a "millionaire" person *borned* to be a millionaire? I.e. Is a millionaire fated to be a millionaire on the moment he is (literally) borned; while a non-millionaire fated to be a non-millionaire on the moment he is (literally) borned? I.e. is there some super being somewhere high up already decide who will and who will not be a millionaire? This is a very interesting question.

My personal view: Millionaire personality can be trained. And this training never start too late. I used to think is there ever a situation where it is "too late" to do anything in life. My conclusion is NEVER. Hence, even if you are already half a century old, and aspire to be a millionaire, start training yourself to be one! Open up your mind, and take action! We only have 1 life, and if the time for action is not now, then when?

(Self-made) Millionaire character = Powerful mind + ACTION + ACTION + ACTION + ACTION + ACTION + ACTION + ...

ACTION is very important. Nothing ever starts if you don't start. Start by opening up your mind! Start to think hard, be analytical!

If you wonder where to start. I recommend a few books: Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. The Next Millionaires by Paul Zane Pilzer.

I know many, its not uncommon at all. Millionaire isnt a big deal today, inflation has changed things so its not like in the 70s where millionaire meant you could retire live comfortably, today you still have to go to work so its not like it once was.

My father is one, and he has always said that if you give people what they need, you'll make a living, but if you give them what they want, you'll make a fortune.
