Anyone else think that the Labour Government of UK is effectively condoning mass murder of civilians by not endorsing an Israel/Hizbollah ceasefire?

dont get me wrong, both sides are indiscriminately bombing - this is simply a question about wether it is better to endorse continual shelling on both sides or agree that even if the problem is still there SURELY it is better to stop the deaths as soon as possible

Hezzbolah may be hiding behind human shields but that doesn't mean it is right for Israel to blow those human shields out of the way. They aren't even going for terrorists any more, they are bombing cars as they try to flee Beirut.
Israel's actions are horrific and contravene international law.
Of course America doesn't understand why this is bad, because it doesn't give a monkey's about international law or the lives of civilians itself; as shown in Iraq.

In the "Suez crisis" in the fifties, Israel, UK and France met in Paris to plan an attack on Egypt.

Israel would first invade using some pretext. France and UK would then go in to pretend to separate the two sides, making the invasion into a permanent land grab (see link to newspaper article below).

In spite of the best interests of US and UK, their governments have always favoured the zionists (see link below and th celebrations of the King David Hotel bombing that killed 92 people) by giving money, weapons, diplomatic cover, media poodles.....

If Israel was really trying to defend itself, then British warships would be evacuating their civillians from Israel, not Lebanon. Dont expect the invasion to be over any time soon.

Two headlines - "Bush Resists Immediate Mideast Cease-Fire"

and:

"UK split with Bush over Israel"

You can read the articles below, but in fact most European countries are strongly calling for a ceasefire including the UK. It is the USA that are resisting.

here is an excerpt:-

"Britain dramatically broke ranks with George Bush last night over the Lebanon crisis, publicly criticising Israel's military tactics and urging America to 'understand' the price being paid by ordinary Lebanese civilians.

The remarks, made in Beirut by the Foreign Office minister, Kim Howells, were the first public criticism by this country of Israel's military campaign, and placed it at odds with Washington's strong support."

I have to agree with boogieknight, I was under the impression that Blair had been urging restraint to begin with and has since called for a ceasefire, and we have sent an envoy over to israel as well as France and Germany. America is the only nation to not condem Israel

Who is doing the mass murder of civilians? The people that are lobbing missiles into the cities and towns with no military base within them? or the people that send kids with bombs strapped to them, into bars, restaurants, and buses? Not man military have died from these bombings and missile attacks......And who would be to blame, if you were a soldier, and in a home with a family, and when the enemy came in, and tried to take you prisoner, you started shooting at them, and hid behind the family....if they were killed, is it the military fault, or yours? You must fight a war where the enemy takes you.....unfortunately, some don't want to die alone, so they hide with family, and other civilians.....you do what you have got to do.....with as much caution as possible

The British Government has been calling for a HAMAS and HEZBOLLAH cease fire for years.

Hezbollah use human shields, what do you expect? Of course civililans are going to get killed.

BLAME THE TERRORISTS not Israel.

Yes... but waste of time saying so... the outcome is already written... the two zealots called Bush and Blair, ignited long ago, behind the scenes, to bring it to fruition.
