my great grandma started doing it when she got older, i could never figure out why. my grandma hasnt started it yet, she's in her 60's. i would just love to ask an old person why they do that, but im too chicken.

This is an easy one - they do it because as you get older and if you fail to exercise and stay in shape your body tends to get into a condition where keeping your pants up is difficult - the only way to be sure you wont end up showing your "***"sets to the world is to pull up high and belt them! As for the socks with sandles, well that is another story.

well think about it why do younger skinny girls wear hipsters why do guys wear the pant at there knees with ther boxers hanging out ?? its the fashan now if you seen ur dad or grandad like that ud be eewww they were brought up like that and really im kinda glad.

To be honest who would want wear hip huggers that show your *** crack!!! what ever happened to being modest about our bodies!!! I am not old nor am I fat but I where normal fitting clothes, I dont need people seeing floss shoved up my ***!!!

I think it could be to cover up their stomach! i know that after havinga kid, i gained some weight... so to cover my belly up, i would put up my jeans. cause there was no way i could wear those low rise ones!
