How come there was only one smurfette?

Smurfette was created by Gargamel to destroy the Smurfs from the inside and be his spy, but over time, she liked the Smurfs and became good.
There was also Sassette for those of you who actually watched the show.
As for the arguments that she did the work of all the men. . .
I seem to remember that there were Smurfs that specialized in certain areas, whereas Smurfette really did much of nothing except stand around and look pretty, getting jealous when no one paid her any attention.

the smurfs had such small units that the friction resulting from mating was barely noticable by the recipient. In order for the recipient to receive adequate stimulation, 1/2 of all smurfs had to work almost constantly to perform the mating ritual on each recipient. Those recipients were Smurfette and Vanity Smurf.
