I had that happen to me, but I cannot remember what I did to correct it, nor why it came up in the first place.

I was worried about it, so I probably just reinstalled my OS, but I am not too sure.

Check for an "Autorun.inf in the primary folder of the C: drive"[1]

[2] also offers a bit of info.

If all else fails, have a look at [3], or you have to change the registry (not recommended unless you know what you are doing) [4].

If you are referring to the view of the devices and folders that you get when you go to Windows Folders or click "start" > "My Computer", try changing the views by using the "View" menu options on the Tool Bar of the window. You can choose: 'Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons, List, Details' to give different levels of details for the contents of 'My Computer'.

If you've got the picture of a 'hand' under the device icon, it shows that the device is 'shared' on the network.

Hope this helps.
