Aggressiveness is a sign of a weak personality or simply lack of self belief.

As a timid person would mimic strength through aggressiveness or even by passive-aggression.

On the other hand a strong and empowered person would stay clam and assertive when it comes to making a decision or while giving directions or instructions.

A weak person would think that his words don’t carry much weight so he needs to support them with external support of physical strength. As he feels that his power or authority is not enough and would be challenged otherwise. So he uses aggression. Note when we get extremely angry is when we get hurt by someone else and hurt usually means feeling powerless and that is the time anger helps get to that position of strength. But when we continue to feel powerless within we would make use to aggression a habit, children with aggressive parents use aggression as a way of expression when they grow up, because they think aggression is the only way to get heard or get your way.

So self belief is the end of aggression.

To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether it's by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know that one life breathed easier because you have lived...is to have succeeded
