Hemorrhoids are enlarged veins in the anus, typically caused by unusual pressure. Preparation H, which contains the active ingredient Witch Hazel, is effective and inexpensive. There are some things to consider, however, to avoid a repeat flair-up:
Avoid excess consumption of coffee and alcohol, which are vaso-dilators (they can expand blood vessels)
Avoid too much time doing your business. Keep lots of fiber in your diet, and drink plenty of water, to avoid constipation and keep your bowel movements relatively effort-free. The pressure from straining is the primary cause of hemorrhoids.
Avoid irritation of the anus through excess wiping. Tucks or a similar type of medicated wipe will help prevent irritation and keep the area cleaner.

At the drugstore they sell a product called Preparation H and you can apply that ointment to the area, and sometimes if they get to large they are called the 'piles' you have to go to the doctor's to have it lance. They can bleed sometimes also. Try not to strain when you use the toilet. Try including fiber in your food diet and drink plenty of water also.

Hemorrhoids are caused by wrong diet (too much starch) or excessive stress. So besides fixing your diet and chilling out, I recommend that you wash your butt (with water at least) and dry it gently afterwards so as not to cause any abrasions. Washing your butt is a good habit. Most Americans have stinky butts because they wipe but do not wash.

yes it will go away on it's own but you need to use some wipes instead of toilet paper, some toilet wipes or preparation h wipes, using tp will irritate it and make it hurt and get bigger
