I can't find the wires listed in my Chiltons. I know its simple yet wouldn't mind getting ahold of some wiring diagrams. These two are multi colored. ( I also have found a few loose wires in the driver side kick panel)

Generally the center post of the socket is the positive and the outer sleeve is the negative. If you have a test light and you know which wires go to it, you can check for power. Haynes manuals are better for wiring because they are vehicle specific and include wiring diagrams.

The ends should only fit one way, unless they have been cut off.Use a 12V test light, or a 12V bulb to find which one is +, the other will be the ground.

If you don't know how to test with a light, or a bulb, you probably don't need to be messing with your wiring anyway.

Should be easy to figure out if you use a multi-meter or test light to test the wires.
