Ted Heath and His Orchestra. That's buggered you, hasn't it! (His was a big band who played concerts at major venues all over the country, and was especially known for his Sunday night concerts "Ted Heath at The Palladium")

I love Depeche Mode, New Order and the Smiths, and Joy Division too. Their music sounds so fresh even now, and Depeche Mode in example have been highly influential on nearly all other types of music.
