to grow as a person? you should try to always be learning- be open to other peoples' opinions- you don't have to agree, but try to see their point of view.
see the world- or at least your corner of it. Even if you have never been out of your town, try to visit the town next door. I personally have no desire to leave the country as there are so, so many things to see in America.
read books, or magazines. you don't have to subscribe to one, but if you read you are actually exercising your brain!
NOW, if you meant to grow plants. You need a growing medium, such as soil, a light source- the sun or artificial lighting, and moisture-water.

Learn to learn. Grow from both success & failures. Choose the right folk to follow. Don't take yourself too seriously. If I tell u too much I'll have no secrets.
