Is our current lifestyle all about reactions, rather planning, thinking about certain things in life? For example, when we are stress, we may over eat, react to it by being angry at others, do some other crazy things, rather to take moment why are we stress in the first place - our eat habits, lack organisations, is emotion giving us message for us to change.

There is a fine line between action and reaction. Yes we do react to many things each and every day. I think this is a vital aspect of continued growth. Out of the reaction comes action, whether it is to resolve something or prevent it from occuring again. Each time that you are proactive, initiating activity, someone else must react. That is the expansion/contraction rule taking effect. The ability to do so without impeding your development is the trick. Knowing when not to react and when to be proactive. Many people are simply not aware of this dynamic and live in a reactive world and they are unfortunately stagnating.

I believe that many are just overwhelmed with all the stimulus daily life brings and are unable to effectively cope. This causes more stress and perpetuates a reactive cycle. The feeling of never being able to get to the top of the mountain breeds bitterness and spite, key elements of a reactive personality. Anger is the most common reaction to such a variety of things that, yes I think far too many people react as opposed to following a proactive lifestyle.

Personally, my motto is "Opportunity does't knock unless you build a door for it." If you just wait around for an opportunity to come along you are going to be waiting a while. Be proactive and make your own opportunities. Once you take control back, you suddenly find the joy of life again.

People can avoid a lot of stress in their life by planning or taking the bull by the horns and fixing things as needed. Some may be stuck in the reacting phase. Just means they don't have the coping mechanisms to take on the world yet. We would hope as people grow and mature they belong to the first category so they're not just in survival mode.

Well we natural do things that is easier; if we really look at ourselves and figure out what is bothering us, then we would have to come up with a solution to that problem. Sometimes the solution to our problem is very difficult to follow through with for a number of reasons. Some people are also not analytical, they don't know how to problem solve so they react to problems instead. However there are planners who also do not live, because they have to know exactly what they are doing before they do it. I don't think reacting is all bad, sometimes being spontaneous is good for us. However I do agree that living our lives through our emotions, makes it difficult to enjoy what is precious and elusive. LIFE.
