Great question! I love this idea. this has the potential for extreme mayhem. Give Saddam back to Iraq with conditions, also give him a heap of nice new missiles. Then all the troops can go home and watch it on TV. Those backward violent oppressive countries can then blow each other up ad-infinitum and stop targeting us on our own soil. That is brilliant. I dont beleive Saddam deserves to be set free and given his power back, but oh! it would make great television! and it would solve a lot of problems in that region. A great man once said: "sometimes the stupidest ideas are the ones that work best" cant remember who said it, might have been Hannibal out of The A Team. Excellent idea though. You should be in politics.

Are you suggesting - that America release Saddam to do the dirty work and go to war with Iran and Syria. You may as well give him nukes and let him wipe out the Middle East, Israel included. But, in the final analysis while we need oil, we have to try to stop wars in the Middle East and exercise a degree of control over the psychopaths out there.

I think we in the west do recognise both Iran and Syria as well as Lebanon. I am unsure what your point is? Or is there a question hidden in there somewhere?
