I was once told that if you die in your dream, you die for real.
could this be true?

Ive heard many stories of dreams of where hte person died,
Ive even had one where I died.
So I think its just all a myth.
how can that be proven anyways when the dead cant tell you about the dream that killed them? :P

Like some of the people on here said about your body being in shock and dying for real but i believe that if you die in your dream it may take longer for you to recover from the shock but i believe you will awake.

I guess the only way to know is to get a poll going.
I for one have never died in my sleep, always woken up just in time.
I did have one dream when I thought I had died in my sleep and the dream was the afterlife, can't tell you how glad I was to wake up after that one!

Apprently your body beleives what is happening in your dreams, so if you died in your dream, your body would go into shock and you would die. I heard that too

Maybe! Whenever it looks like I'm dead in a dream I always end up being buried alive...

i have heard that too cos wen u r dreaming ur mind and body thinks woteva is goin on is for real so if u dreamt u were dying i suppose ur body and mind would shock itself into beliving its true

definitly not. I've had a recurring nightmare everynight for the past 2 months where i get locked in my car, covered in gasoline and burned to death.
but i still wake up every morning.
