To clarify the question more: We have access to many tv stations(with many different types of channels...from news to animal life and entertainment), we have so many nwespapers and magazines, satellite, internet, books..and all of the mentioned
come in many languages, and are almost available in all countries to a lesser extent in some and a greater extent in others.....and i guess you get my point here.
But if you take the averge guy in a modern country who has access to some of the above, still most people remain ignorant to anything which is not within their own environment..wether it be as simple as a type of food...or to more complex topics, and more important is that they tend to make opinions about things which they dont understand and this is the thing which makes one label them as ignorant.........I cant make myself more clear bcs i just have 44 more characters to work with and that definitely is not enough, is it clear enough now?

People don't know how to find reliable information. They also will believe almost anything they read online. In some ways the Internet makes people more ignorant.

ignorance is subjective. why is it that libraries have existed for centuries but many people are illiterate including those from the first world like our country. it is the path of natural selection. some people are susceptible to be out competed and these are called losers while others always climb the ladder from oblivion and these we call blessed! some at the top drop down with a thud because they do not belong in that strata blah blah

It is true that there is a widely available source of information on the internet, but not all of the information provided is accuarate. I have seen websites for hate groups/ racism, reflecting views and opinions that are bias.

simple as the information becomes available they use it to make tons money. Now as you know most if not all arrogant people are rich. Money makes them believe they are better than you and therefore have no interest in your pathetic life so they feel as though they can be ignorant and not respect you because they're rich b#tch honk honk

Because of the Internet, people don't have to remember anything anymore. They don't have to memorize anything. So they don't know any facts. They just look everything up on the Internet.
