One can learn information without understanding it, if "learning" is restricted to memorisation. For example, one can learn a hymn sung in Latin without understanding the words. This is called "rote learning".
Useful learning need not involve understanding the processes or structures behind what is learnt. People use very sophisticated grammar, generally without any formal understanding of the rules they apply. they can drive a car and have only a rudimentary idea of the mechanics involved.

By learning you find many new things and you see the world different, learning means evolving, understanding means that you see the answer to a problem that you had in your learning. In other words learning evolves you and understanding keeps you evolving without any problems.

learning leads to understanding
If you get a new program for your computer ,playing around and figuring out how it works and what it can do for you is learning.
when you can take your information and process it without having to look for the right way to do what you purchased the program to accomplish you understand how it works.

To learn something is to absorb it into your brain and move on. To understand something is to not only absorb it, but to figure out how it relates to other knowledge you posess. The two are tied very closely together, but I do feel there is a fine line between them.

Learning means that you memorize. That if you are given the exact same type of question you can answer it.
Understanding means that if you receive a question that is using the same principle, then you will reason it out to be solved.
Very Simple Example: You can solve for density bys using M/V=D - learning. Using the same equation you can solve for M or V with out memorizing the variations. You reason it out.

learning is like learning to hit a nail with a hammer
understanding ,is understanding that it takes force to drive the nail, for the nail will not drive by itself
so learning is like hands on training
understanding is what makes it work what you are learning
