In school don't they teach you to walk away from fights?
Haven't you ever been taught to be the stronger one and show how intelligent you are by setting an example that the youth of America can follow by talking through the problem? You walk away with no less pride and no less dignety.
War just seems to show that we are scared to be judged as weak.
Even though we are taught to not base our view//character on other's opnions.
I guess we can say we are just defending ourselfs from terriorists but the fact is we are hypocrites and feel the need to prove that we are the stronger nation in the situation...but who are we proving anything to? We are pretty much just killing innocent people for living in a nation that questioned our pride.
Even if we sometimes happen to kill a few people that believed that we are weak. But then again we are Hypocrites because we teach kids to accept other's views.
I don't know...maybe killing people is the way to go....

Political leaders cannot afford to to allow enemy nations to attack at will. Aggressors must be seen to be punished.
The point is also made by Niccolo Machiavelli in The Prince.
This is especially true if a nation wants to be seen as powerful in the international setting.
Where the US slips up is the beligerant attitude towards other cultures. Unlike every other group on the planet they don't seem to feel the need to show respect for other people.

The sole point to this war on Terror is to let the armed forces deal with a murderous bunch of crazy people in a foreign country, so they do not have time to come to the USA and repeat 9-11. If we are killing them over there, they can not come here and kill us. Sadly, there will always be innocents that die in wars, but are they truly innocent. If they permit terrorist to train in their country, and do nothing to stop it, I think not. The message it is sending to the youth of the country, If you can not resolve your differences by peaceful means, then wait for the first punch, then Kick his A*S*S.

war is business... it is the matter of power, and money.
and believe me (or the economy), common people never win. once you have big money, invest in war... you will gain a lot.
about the schools... they aren't anything else then educational mass-media. so easy to manipulate.
when you are ruling over dumb people, it's so easy to make them believe anything, to make them think the way you need.
In the past, most rulers (dictators, call them as you like), who was overtaking the control over a country, first used to execute the elite, the intelligence, the artists...people who thinks them self, potential anti-leaders.
Right now, there is no need (mostly) to execute... the laws and regulations of our democratic countries are executing our brain. The mass is controlled, and fed with mass media, mass information, mass education... and on. And if! still you think different... you have no voice!

yeah man, if you find a fairytale place that is free from war, please invite me! but yo, check out reality. We have people that disagree so much that they will fight no matter what. i guess we just have to choose sides.
