Yes and yes, but the Betta may eat the babies. (I have a male Betta and two guppies in the same tank, along with some others.)

Yes, guppies do give birth to live young and you can keep a male Betta in the same tank as your guppies. They adult guppies and the Betta will get along fine.....as long as you are not wanting to increase your guppie population. The Betta is a carnivorous fish and will think the guppy babies are a tasty treat. Good for the Betta....but bad for the guppy population.

Yes guppies give live birth.

Bettas are compatible with guppies and because they eat the guppy fry they are good for controlling the population of the guppies. Should you choose to keep the fry then bettas are bad companions. Even the guppy parents will eat their young. So separation is called for.

I know that guppies give live birth and I believe that male betta are compatible with just about anything other then another male betta. Just to be on the safe side, I would keep the babies seperate.

Male bettas can be a bit territorial at times. You'll need to watch him and make sure he isn't attacking them. It's going to depend the the betta's temperament, but generally bettas will get along with most community fish. Beware that male bettas have been known to mistake fancy tailed male guppies for male bettas.

yes they do bear live young.when the babies are born, remove them from your tank and put them in another or they will be eaten by the adult fish. as for the beta, yes, they will do fine with the beta.male betas will fight with other male betas but they do fine in a community tank with other species of fish.
