I think its a useless and bad sport especially when you're killing these poor animals for fun, animals don't attack people unless they are threatened or if you are in their teritory. most of the time animals are more afraid of you than you are of the.

Hunting an animal purely for sport (as in then you just dump the entire body afterward and the only reasoning for hunting it was for fun) is wrong in my opinion.
But modern hunting for the most part is about more than just sport. Before North America became so populated there were many different large predators all over the continent. Now, because of development for the most part, many large predators have either became extinct (such as the red wolf) or have moved from some of their previous territories. Unfortunately, the deer, opossum, skunk and other animals are not as easily upset by living close to people. (Many large predators have huge territories and being near people infringes on that territory.)
So now we have too many deer in particular! Not only do they get hit by cars and even kill people, but they are not safe to approach and they also damage crops.
As for some of your other points, animals DO attack people for reasons besides feeling threatened or being in their territory. You might approach an animal and not even know it. What if that animal is a baby? Mamma's gonna be mad... and more than likely violent.
Some animals, like mountain lions, actually do see people as prey items. And why not? We're soft and have no claws and relatively tame teeth.
Hunting animals, such as the deer, actually help the population. By weeding out some of them you save many others which would otherwise starve.
I used to think hunting was horrible too before I educated myself a bit more about it. Sit down and talk to some people who hunt. I'd recommend an adult as they are more likely to be a responsible hunter. :)

I don't have a problem with animals being killed to provide me with food. However, hunting animals just for fun will only be a sport when the animals have guns too. Now, I'd pay to watch THAT! Haha...

Are you blind? Look at the midwest. Look how many car crashes there are each year because of people hitting deer. Look how many people are killed because they hit a deer just driving down the road minding there own business. If we didn't hunt deer the population would be out of control and thousands of more people would be seriously injured or killed because of the out of control deer population. And this is only an example of one type of animal. I'm sure there are many more.

Hunters control the animal population, if they didn't they would over graze and a lot of them would starve to death, which is not a pretty way to die.
