If you are a skilled worker, that is the best way to get a visa, as this is not tied to any company. There is a list of workers that are considered in short supply in the UK and if you have the qualifications, then you should have a problem.
Otherwise, try to get a job with a good company that is willing to hire and maintain talent, even if it means sponsoring them.

Try this website:-
http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/content/working_in_the_uk/en/homepage.html
It explains the rules and regulations for getting a UK work permit or residency. You can also download the appropriate forms etc from there as well.

Hi there,
If you have an offer of skilled employment in the UK and you have qualifications / work experience that are relevant to the position on offer you may be able to get a work permit.
If you are highly skilled you may be able to migrate without needing sponsorship.
