water pollution is a serious problem that modern civilization needs to get a handle on. It makes no difference where you are in the world every country has its water pollution problems. In developed countries, we are diverting water for our personal needs (sanitation, cultivation, and recreation). The rivers are shrinking stressing the life in and around them. Animals and plants are being stressed and many are becoming endangered. In the developing world they pollute the rivers with waste and fertilizers, and in many cases the sources of their rivers are drying up. Drought has caused a major impact on these water ways. Without the moderating effect on temperature this water has the climate is changing. The summers are warmer and the winters colder in some parts of the world. All the water systems of the world are interconnected. The rivers feed the ocean and evaporation feeds the clouds. If the clouds do not dump their water on the land the cycle is in trouble.
