In what terms? Monetary? or some nebulous view of a perfect energy?

uranium as a viable energy source for electricity, but for all intent and purpose electricity as a viable energy source for transportation is not quite up to snuff.. So For transportation I lean toward Crude and more of it. Idyllic emotions slant the energy argument. The US has a real problem with energy production irregardless.. In most part this problem can be directly attributed to leftist environmental extremists. 60% of our energy production and the sources to produce come from sources..other then the US. This effectively places the US in a very precarious condition of dependence and trade deficients with politically unstable countries.

I believe we need to be drilling and exploring areas that have been deemed environmentally sensitive, as many of the areas placed off limits have large reserves of Crude, Shale, or Coal. We need exploit these for our use.
We need to expand the use of Coal and methane in GTL/CTL feedstocks. Technologies from the 1930s provide mechanisms for feedstock production from Coal, NG, Shale, and Oil Sands.

Crude oil is massive, massive business much more than uranium which is traded in relatively small quantities. It is more important in a myriad of ways in our lives.

As for the future who knows, but year after year oil companies continue to find new reserves to replace those used up. This is not to say that nuclear power does not have a place in limiting the emission of carbon dioxide into the environment along with renewable sources.

Wind and solar and a bit of uranium. The uranium only until the nuclear fusion technology developes enough to be massive used.
