Tiger barbs are easy. water about 75-80 F feed just a pinch once a day. they like planted tanks, 25% water change once a week. keep out of direct sunlight and don't leave their light on more than about 8hours (3hr is better) at most per day.

I had tiger barbs a few years ago. They were listed at the pet shop as "community" fish, but they seemed a little aggressive even with other barbs. They would chase each other around the tank and chew off pieces of fin. Basically, my tank was where other "community" fish came to die. They were fairly easy to care for, they do not require a heated tank, and eat tropical fish food (which is very reasonably priced). Cleaned the tank out about once every few months. All the algae eaters were murdered. Snails are great to help with cleaning too. Had one T.B that grew very large, about the size of a silver dollar and lived almost 4 years! Do you know if they are all male or female? Check out the web site below for more info!!!

One of my roomates had them a couple years ago, and they all died. I had cichlids and know nothing about tiger barbs. Go to any Jack's Aquarium and they can tell you (and sell you) everything you need.
