To learn how to swim! you need to break your fear which, is the 1st lesson.
Be calm and don't panic.
always say I will swim.
I use this technique with my brothers when I taught them how to swim!
Take a deep breath and let it go 3 times just to increase the storage of oxygen in your lung.
the 4th time take breath and keep it then put you head down the water and grab the edge of the swimming pool and stay as long as you could and do not forget to let the air go slowly step by step.
do it until you reach 40 second- 1minutes.
this is how to break the fear and listen to your coach.

Don't listen to the people who seem astonished that you still don't know how to swim. I just started taking swimming lessons in May...and I'm 33! It's exciting and scary all at the same time. Definitely invest in a few lessons from an experienced swim teacher. They can teach you a few techniques that will reduce panic, enjoy the water more, and get more out of each stroke. Most of all, have fun!!!!!!

just hang out in the shallow end where you can stand and toy around with just putting your head underwater there and swimming around hand in front of hand a bit. If you're just starting, just get comfortable in the water. Once you feel comfortable in the shallow end, try and swim in slightly deeper water.

Just pay attention to the lifguards that are teaching you. Don't get discouraged if you don't get it right away, it takes time to learn the strokes correctly. If you really want to do well when you get home practice you stroke out of water.

All you have to do is stay calm, stay near the lifeguard, and just have fun!
If youre having lessons, try not to be too eager cause that will result in accidents.

are you learning how to swim? if so, hold on to the sides and start off by practicing holding your breath underwater and kicking with your legs. eventually, you'll put everything together and dunk your head underwater and move your arms and legs like you see the pros do it.
