Why do some people hate children? Has it got anything to do with their own childhood?

Because they are annoying! :) They can't behave, they are loud and always want you to do something... I don't hate them, of course.

That reminds of that movie 9 months, with Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore. The kids fo his friend's sister were brats in the beginning and I could NOT stand them!

I had a wealthy-to-poor childhood, and I really don't want to have more than 1-2 kids, if any at all. But, despite some other things in my childhood, I don't hate kids...at least the well-behaved ones anyway. I think it's just seeing badly-behaved kids, who grow up to disrespect their parents that turns me off.

I think it's like anything in life (or any PREJUDICE that is), if someone sets a bad example for the group, you have to look hard for the good when surrounded by so many misbehaved children. Still, I DO love kids and I think that persons need to realize that a child is not born "bratty" even if they have clinical behavorial problems. It's all in how the parenting is cultivated into that particular child. Children are smart, intuitive, funny, and very very positive. It's a great day when you see a child smile at you. But, it makes me sickly furious to see the misbehaved youngsters on the Nanny Television Reality show trailers and especially out in Public. My fiance and I saw a man say to his child who threw himself into a tantrum "I'll make a DEAL with you"--Puh-lease! So, yes, I COULD hate children, but I don't.

Sometimes it does have to do with the way they have been treated as a child. But normally people hate children because of the experiences other people have had with children and children can be so got dang bad thats what makes most people hate them so much personally i don't hate them i just hate the things they do!!!!

I don't hate children, I just don't want any, or particularly enjoy hanging out with other people's kids. It very well might have to do with my own childhood, but everyone has a whole bunch of reasons for why they like, or don't like, anything.

If you lived next to my neighbors, you would hate children. I'll probably like my own kids, of course. But I hate going into a store with all kinds of rugrats running all over the place knocking over everything and getting in my way. Makes me not want any.

i would think that it's because the environment that we are currently facing is changing... As time progresses, things are getting difficult and people are getting more and more stressful each day... For many people, it is difficult handling such stress and thus, they started to detest things around them including children... Especially, when the kids are noisy and get on their nerves...

It is not that people hate children, it's just that they do not know how to handle such stress and thus, children appear to be irritating and adding on to all the stress that is being constantly build up... It's some pyschological thinking that people are unable to get rid of at the current moment...

those some ppl are the usually "boring" "grumpy" ones.with no sense of humour of all.who does not even like themselves.however.if they like animals.at least they are make up for their lack of enthusiasm,innocence and fun.in life.found only in kids and animals.thanks god..not all ppl are that stupid or boring.cos a place without kid.would have beein a museum and a cemetery of boredom.......and yes nothing to do with childhood or trauma.etc.its the invididual own lack of happiness and inability to love even the self
