I am not a country and western fan, but I love Patsy Cline. Her voice could cut right through you. She had an emotional range that few could equal. Her version of Willie Nelson's "crazy" is a classic. I prefer jazz and 80's rock n roll, but her music is timeless. Her name Patsy comes from her middle name Patterson I think. Her life was turbulent, and I think it lent itself to her emotional range as a singer. Think of what she could have accomplished if her plane could have missed that mountain. Oh, there is nothing geeky about being a Patsy Cline fan. People who hate country and western listen to her recordings. She breaks down all musical barriers.

I think she is the greatest female singer of all time and I'm not really a big fan of country music although I do like some of it.
She had a fantastic voice and no one has come close to being as good as her.
My greatest male singer was Elvis Presley and the best musician/singer was Jerry Lee Lewis.

I like a few Patsy Cline songs and we even have a greatest hits cd that, in all seriousness, my son (nearly 9) has in his room because he's been listening to it lately.
