I studied Biology as much as I could when I was in school (it was not my Major area of study, but I took as many Elective courses in it as I could) and Animal Behavior and Botany were my two favorite areas.
Animal Behavior is a rich, deep subject with a lot of very interesting stuff. I had one Professor that actually taught our class how to "talk" with Dogs through facial expressions and basic sounds.

Perhaps you could concentrate on the aspect of biological information storage. Cells are like computer automated factories that get their programs from the genes. Sound interesting?

(I assumefrom the way you phrased this question you're asking what kind of college level or HS AP level bio class to take, not a topic like "gene therapy.)
